Anyone out there? I am still here and alive and taking some pictures from time-to-time. I hope to share a little peak of my newest newborn session here this weekend. I know I need to get back into the world of blogging!

You know I always rave about family sessions in the fall, but I gotta tell you spring colors are fabulous too! We didn't have to worry about any lighting because it was cloudy and drizzling this weekend, but I am very pleased with the final images. So...if you are thinking of a family session it is never too early to call and get on the schedule. This family and I go way....WAY...back. I used to babysit the 2 of the children when I was in high school. The oldest is moving out of state and this was what her mom wanted for her Mother's Day gift. THANKS for all the smiles Aaland Family!

I kicked off my 2010 Wedding Season last Saturday, and while I was feeling a bit nervous again, and wondering if I would do o.k. once I got to the church it was all FABULOUS! I can not thank the bride and groom and their families and friends for making me feel so welcome! The bridal party was so fun to work with, and we had a blast! Katie and Brian are now relaxing in the Mexican sun enjoying thier honeymoon. THANKS again for having me be a part of your very special day! Best wishes and Congratulations on your new life adventure together!

More recently....as in last week..sigh, Lance and I went to Cabo San Lucas with some very good friends of ours for a little R&R and lots of fun and laughter. We stayed at a RIU resort called the Palace. It was all inclusive and I would highly reccommend it to anyone who was traveling that way. Our weather was GORGEOUS, the drinks and the water kept us cool!
This last picture I shot from under a palm tree. I was working on getting a good sun flare...I wish I could have gotten a little more color to come through in the tree. I haven't downloaded Lance's images yet. I will share more later...maybe!
These last pictures are pretty cool too. Lance has been building his own airplane. I believe it arrived in several wooden crates. He has been working faithfully on it for just under 3 years. My father-in-law told me it normally takes 5-10 years to build. The gentlemen who did Lance's flight training for this plane built his in 16 years. The plane was inspected last week, and yesterday was the day for it's first take-off. I was there with my camera, I was nervous, as was my mother-in-law. We had several friends and family memebers who came out to watch! He made it up and down safely, and now we have another plane for him to fly around in! This is only a 2 seater. It is not painted yet. It will be even more spectacular when that is done.
This is him taking off.
This is him coming in for his first landing.....made me a little nervous!
And back on the ground all smiles!

hm...I guess I haven't been around here in a while. Where did our time go? I am so happy for this beautiful weather we have recieved lately though.
Back in January, we took the kids skiing with some friends of ours. Breck and Lucas each got skiis after Christmas. I wish we could have made more use out of them, but there is always next winter!
Breck played in the Mayville State 3 on 3 basketball tournament while Lucas enjoyed spending time with other little brothers that were there!
Breck had a couple of dance performances during the basketball season....I am anxiously awaing the big dance recital night. They do such a wonderful job!

Well I guess it is about time I come back to this blog huh? I have gotten a few messages asking if I was still alive. Yes, I am still alive...just busy with the holidays and family.
What a fabulous way to start out the year 2010. I was fortunate enough to kick off this new year by shooting this totally beautiful wedding for a totally beautiful couple. Who are right now on their honeymoon in warm and sunny Mexico. They deserve it since their wedding day was... oh... only like 40 some BELOW zero with the windchill. I know they are soaking up every bit of sunshine Mexico has to offer them.
THANKS so much for inviting me to capture this day for the both of you and your families. AND thanks to my friend, Sara, from Real Life Photography for tagging along with me that day and braving the cold frigid temps. AND thanks to her collage, she inspired me to try one.
Let's see if this looks any better on these 2 because I love these outdoor images.

Breanna and I met this summer and did some outdoor shots, but she wanted to come back in the fall for that "golden look". Well, we didn't get much of a fall this year so it was a little discouraging. However, I think this image is pretty close to amazing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the light coming in from behind her, and with the golden tone, I think it is beautiful! As is she! Check out her skin and those eyes in the 2nd image!
BEE-U-Ti-FULL!!!

Oh My Goodness so I just realized I never shared this little guy! How could I forget about him! His mommy should have reminded me that he never made his blog debut! heeheehee! Well, he is! I think I get to see him here again in a couple of weeks. He turns 1 during Thanksgiving vacation so hopefully we are going to turn him loose with some cake and balloons!
He is holding Breck's IDog in this image! But, it is totally adorable!
